John is a partner of LCW with over 30 years of experience providing legal advice to both private and non-profit organizations. John focuses his practice on business law, real estate law and estate and wills services. John attended the University of Western Ontario obtaining both his economics degree and his LL.B. John's commitment to the community and knowledge of business law has won him many awards over the years and created lasting professional relationships. 

Full time practise of law since 1983 with Chown Cairns, now with Lancaster Chown & Welch.  

John’s Real Estate and Property Law experience includes: Residential, commercial, agricultural, recreational and public property transactions; Leasing, Licensing; Non-resident transactions; Estate transactions; Land severances; Municipal land use development; and Mortgages.

John’s Wills & Estates experience includes: Will and trust drafting; Trusts for Special Needs Beneficiaries; Succession and Estate planning; Application of real property and corporate law to lifetime and testamentary asset use and transfers, and estate administration; and Estate dispute resolution.
