Katharine has experience in family law, criminal law, estate litigation and administrative law but she has practised exclusively in personal injury law for the past 20 years and has a particular interest in long term disability claims. She also has extensive trial experience with both the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal and has appeared before a number of administrative tribunals.

Katharine is a part time professor at Brock University teaching a law class for second year business and accounting students. She is a part of the Lincoln County Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. She also volunteers with her son’s school counsel and is a local representative of the OPACE, a branch of the Catholic school parents group who is consulted by the Ministry of Education when policy decisions are made. Katharine has also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Osteoporosis Society and Child Protection. She is a supporter of The Salvation Army and Good Will because of their efforts to assist the local community.

Katharine is passionate about personal injury and insurance law. The injured parties are often at a disadvantage because insurance companies have more resources at their disposal and a better understanding of how the system works. In her words, “After an accident, an injured person and their family are left to navigate difficult and complex insurance benefit schemes at a time when they are unwell and struggling with the loss of income. Our job is to fight to get them the benefits and compensation to which they are entitled. Without a personal injury lawyer, this  would be extremely difficult. Being able to help an injured person and their family when they need it is truly gratifying."
